Q. Are you going to make a two place so my wife can go along?
A. Yes, Jim is looking into that and will update the site in coming months.

Q. What amount of space is needed to build the BD-17?
A. You can build this aircraft for example in the space of a 2 car garage.

Q. Are you going match/recommend a suitable trailer who wish to store the plane off the airport?
A. Yes, we are working with a company now, and will update the website that information.

Q. Will I fit? I am 6'2" and 220lbs.
A. Yes you will fit, the cockpit is roomy, a pilot who is 6'5" 250 lbs and wearing a cowboy hat, (see photo) sat in the aircraft and had headroom even with his hat on.

Q. Where is the airplane so I can view the plane?
A. The aircraft is currently at Las Cruces NM going through flight tests. It will be at Sun n Fun and of course Oshkosh 2001. Soon we will have a couple of demonstrator aircrafts finished and they will be touring many of the air shows around the country.

Q. What are the g-loads capabilities of the aircraft?
A. As a minimum the aircraft will meet utility category flight loads. These are 4.4 g's limit, 6.6 g's ultimate.

Q. Is the plane aerobatic?
A. It will be approved for limited aerobatics.

Q. Will there be a 2-seat version?
A. Probably, but we don't know when and unfortunately it will be more expensive.

Q. Is there luggage space?
A. Yes there is luggage space that is approximately 23" x 18" x 18".

Q. Can it be adapted for IFR? Navigation Lights, etc?
A. Yes navigation lights can be added; minimum IFR instrumentation can be added.

Q. What other kinds of engines are you looking at and what HP will it be?
A. We will be flight-testing a variety of engines, and the next one will probably be 80 HP Jabaru.

Q. Will the aircraft meet the new rules for a Sport Pilot License?
A. No, it cruises too fast, and has a higher stall speed than they will permit.

Q. Can you store this aircraft in a car garage?
A. Yes, the wings fold easily and will fit any car garage.

Q. When will the kit be available?
A. We do not know when exactly we will delivery our first kits; we expect it to be late spring or early summer.

Q. I would like to fly out of a grass strip, can this be done.
A. Yes the aircraft can be flown out of grass strips.
